Well I just thought of an idea: How about instead I write on people's walls "thank you for watching me" which is kind of disappointing if you ask me... I give you a Llama instead? It's a llama but some of you like llamas a lot, even I do not know the real purpose of the Llamas in Deviantart, but it's easier for me to give a Llama instead of writing all watchers the same... I mean I don't have 10k watchers but after 50 you feel like you are just doing it because you have to and I don't feel that way. I really appreciate all support the community gives to all Deviants and I want to show that I care, that's kind of why I'm doing this,  so there you have it. From now on, everytime someone watches me I will answer with a Llama :)

Recently I've been working on a lot of photos, I got a part time job with a professional photographer and it has been great so far, he's been really kind to me. All I can say to all photographers is that if you want to be a real pro, there's no time to waste, if you have a chance to work with someone in the photography business well then what are you waiting for? There's a lot of things you can learn from them and when the time comes and you decide to be on your own, well you'll have a lot of experience to deal with all your problems. This is the way I see things right now: The pro photographer is me in the future and I'm a future assistant of myself, what can I learn from the future me to help the future assistant understand better? Well then ask everything you want to know and work as hard as you can, if you're good enough there will be money on the table even as an assistant so don't let that opportunity go away.

The Artist

2 min read
Over the last couple of months I've been working non-stop on my self teaching classes of photography and I've realized something... You can take classes, you can pay as much as you want on courses about anything you like but in the end, that's not what you will get. In the end the extra work that you do on all those courses and classes is the actual artistic lesson.
The path to become an artist is close to what I just said in the last paragraph. It is not the teacher that's gonna make the difference it's the student. I used to think that paid courses and all the classes from my school would get the artist inside me but that never happened, the truth is that I never felt I was an artist because I never did something because I really felt it, I just did the assignments because I really had to.
So this is my best advice I can give to anyone: WORK. Work in everything you want to work, not just need to, but really want to. And if you don't feel like doing something then don't do it until you discover the abilities you have and that will get the best of you. In my case photography started as a hobby from my childhood but I never actually had the chance to do some great work, until recently I felt that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, this is what my artistic knowledge allows me to create and that's what an artist is: someone that know what he/she is capable of and explode that knowledge.
Hope you find my point of view and understood everything I was trying to communicate, I would like to hear about your opinion in this as well for anybody who reads this. Take care you all!

Not so long ago I decided I would become a good photographer, but that idea has only been messing around in my head... There's a point in every amateur photographer in which we decide we want a new lens but that choice is not the easiest to make. In my personal experience I have come to look around almost every single lens out there for my Nikon D3100 but I just can't choose one of those, it has to be perfect... or so I thought. It turns out that I have this professor in my school that has been a photographer for a while and I wanted to ask him which lens would be the perfect but he would not be the one to make the final decision tough. I have come to realize that the lens is not that important , the key to take a perfect picture is to KNOW how to take pictures, know composition rules, take all the knownledge from experts and to really like what your shooting. It's not simple at all, but like anyother job out there, practice and experience make us better and that's how we can all achieve the "perfect eye".

NOTE: my final lens decision was the 50mm f1.8d from Nikon, if you were just wondering hehe
